Stamoules Produce Company receives first King Air 360
Hailing from what is often considered the cantaloupe capital of the world, Stamoules Produce Company is a family-owned business that was in the market for their own aircraft. They selected the King Air 360.
The first Beechcraft King Air 360 turboprop was delivered and has entered service. This was commemorated at a handover ceremony with representatives from Stamoules Produce Company and Textron Aviation.
King Air turboprops have been favored for more than 50 years, and the 360 builds on that history of reliability, versatility, passenger comfort, and technological advancements.
“We’re very proud to be the launch customer of the new Beechcraft King Air 360,” says Katie Stefanopoulos, family member, and corporate pilot for the new aircraft. “When selecting our first aircraft, we looked for a product that would not only give us the performance and flexibility we need to grow our business, but also by a company with a trusted name and expertise in the industry, and we found that in the King Air 360 and Textron Aviation. We were excited to learn of the new upgrades and features to an already exceptional aircraft, and I am even more excited to fly.”
“This is a special day for Beechcraft King Air turboprops as we begin a new era for such a beloved aircraft,” adds Rob Scholl, senior VP of sales and flight operations for Textron. “We are privileged to welcome Stamoules Produce Company to the Beechcraft family. This upgraded aircraft features innovative technology and next-generation capabilities, and it will allow this launch customer an opportunity to transform the way it does business.”
Stamoules Produce Company specializes in growing and harvesting fruits, vegetables, and nuts on its 17,000-acre farm, and has been expanding its business since its inception in 1927. They are based in the San Joaquin Valley of California, often considered the cantaloupe capital of the world.
Some of the updated features in the new King Air 360 include the Innovative Solutions & Support ThrustSense autothrottle. It supports pilots by managing engine power through all stages of flight. Also featured is the digital pressurization controller that schedules cabin pressure during climb and descent which makes life easier for pilots and passengers more comfortable. The aircraft also has a more than 10 percent lower cabin altitude compared to the King Air 350i, which provides increased comfort for the passengers during extended flights.
The King Air 360 has also had a completely redesigned cabin with beautiful craftsman cabinets, along with the standard King Air amenities like work tables, outlets, USB ports, and a lavatory.
The King Air family of business turboprop is the best selling in the world, with over 7,600 delivered around the world since 1964.
